Ruth Meyer to Judge Art Show
Ruth K. Meyer is an art historian and freelance art critic living in Covington, Kentucky. During an active professional career she was curator and interim director of the Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, director of the Ohio Foundation of the Arts, Columbus, and director of the Taft Museum of Art. Ruth Meyer has a BFA (U. of Cincinnati), MA in Art History (Brown University), and a PhD in Art History (U. of Minnesota). She has also taught art history in Minnesota, Ohio and at an international college in Japan. Since 2006 she has been a contributing editor for The Artist’s Magazine where she published more than 20 feature stories and has also contributed to Art in America. She has been a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts and the Institute of Museums Services and has been a juror for many regional art competitions. Her most recent publication is the invited essay in Frank Herrmann, Paintings 1999 – 2009. Ruth Meyer is a member of the International Association of Art Critics, (A!CA).
