4^th Annual Juried Art Show October 2 at Pendleton Art Center

The opening reception for the Rising Sun 4^th Annual Juried Art Show “A*muse” will be held on October 2 at the Pendleton Art Center 201 Main Street Rising Sun from 6-9pm.

Over one hundred and thirty entries from the tri-state area were received. The entries were then juried for entry into the show. Fifty eight works were accepted and will be displayed at the Rising Sun Pendleton Art Center during the month of October.

Judge for the competition is Tamara Lenz Muente. Ms Muente is curatorial assistant/exhibition coordinator at the Taft Museum of Art where she serves as curator of the recently established Keystone Contemporary series that annually features an emerging Cincinnati artist. She writes about the visual arts for City Beat, as well as national art publications The Artist’s Magazine, The Pastel Journal, and Watercolor Artist.

Prizes will be awarded at 7pm for Best of Show, First, Second and Third Place and 3 Honorable Mentions.

Local artist, Vera Curnow, is the coordinator of the show.
