Quilt Making Classes Announced

Winners Announced at Opening Reception at Pendleton Art Center May 1
The opening reception for the Rising Sun 3rd Annual Juried Art Show held on May 1 at the Pendleton Art Center 201 Main Street Rising Sun.
Winners of the competition were Best of Show, Eric Phagan, Dupont, In; First Place, Angela Gage, Columbus Ohio; Second Place, Caroline Tabac-Shank, Indianapolis, In; Third Place Andrea Grimsley, Rising Sun, In; Judge’s Merit Awards: Luann Houser, Rising Sun, In; Steve Meyer, Fairfield, Oh; and Lawrence Rudolech, Hanover, In.
One hundred and fifteen entries from the tristate area were received. The entries were then juried for entry into the show. Sixty eight 2 dimensional works and 10 3 dimensional works were accepted and will be displayed at the Rising Sun Pendleton Art Center during the month of May. Judge for the competition was Jamie Markle, publisher for North Light Books, and imprint of F & W Publications.

Third Annual Juried Exhibition
Rising Sun & Ohio County Tourism Bureau announces the Third Annual Juried Art Exhibition May 1-29th at the Pendleton Art Center. Interested artists are encouraged to submit their 2-D and 3-D materials by the April 1st deadline. Last year 150 artists competed for sixty-seven spots in the “Great Escapes” show, with nearly $4000 awarded in prize money. The exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and over.
